Creating hard disk partition using Microsoft Windows XP is too much easy function. You can create, delete and edit hard disk partitions using Windows XP's built in utility (Disk Management).
To load Disk Management utility perform the following steps.
Right click on My computer and click on Manage.
Select disk management from left panel.
Disk management will load.
You can see list of all disks including fixed hard disk, CD-ROM/Writer and USB disks. Management of hard disk partitions is too much easy using this "Disk Management" utility.
You can delete partition by right click on any partition.
You can create new partition by right click on any disk.
Note: If you have data in your partition then you will loose all your data when you will delete your partition. If you want to change your partition size without loosing your data then you can use a third party software "Partition Magic" at your own risk.
Partition Magic can change your partition without loosing your data. It can also change File system of your disk. You can change your file system from NTFS to FAT32 without loosing a file and vice versa.
Remember Windows built in command convert can change file system from FAT to NTFS but it can not convert NTFS to FAT
